Thanksgiving is right around the corner which means now is the time to get comfortable inside your home and decorate for your family feast. Creating a Tablescape is an easy way to add Thanksgiving décor and dress up your dining room. Using a mixture of pumpkins, candles, foliage and flowers, group your items together to create a decorative arrangement. You don’t need to spend a fortune – in fact, by using natural materials and repurposing items you already have, you can create a homespun table that will welcome your guests and celebrate your blessings.
We incorporated a mix of natural elements and calming colors in this dining room for a look of woodsy elegance. We started with a beautiful floral arrangement centerpiece filled with our favorites – lilies, chocolate colored sunflowers, orchids and creamy white hydrangeas. From there, we added birchwood chargers topped with white china plates with gold trim, as well as some gold accent pieces. Fragrant mint colored candles tucked into white and gold candlesticks, fresh eucalyptus and pinecones cast a note of laid-back romance and woodsy glam to the holiday table.
On the serving buffet, we hung our grapevine wreath over the mirror to create our focal point. Incorporating elements of varying heights with vases and candlesticks, the buffet always gives the eye something to focus on without being overwhelming. We kept the woodsy elegance theme by using birch bark candles and fresh eucalyptus right along with the gold accent pieces and creamy colors. To tie in the colors from the floral centerpiece, we added colorful candles and sprigs of eucalyptus to the gold candlesticks. A few pumpkins and pinecones pull it all together for a wonderful autumn display.
